C C Poon Managing Director

Mr. Poon started his career in Motorola as an IC designer. After designing the Hawk DSP core DSP56800 in Austin, Texas, he was transferred back to Hong Kong to design the MCU Dragonball for 3-Com Palm Pilot. At Motorola, he also provided design support to Motorola Communications Group and other customers including Logitech and LG. After leaving Motorola Mr Poon joined the world 3rd largest electronic component distributor Future Electronics as Design Centre Manager, heading 3 Designs Centres in Hong Kong, Shenzhen and Shanghai with 20 engineers, focusing on variable frequency motor control and charger. Before starting Acelab, Mr. Poon was the Engineering Manager of Advanced Card Systems, specializing in smart card reader. Job responsibility includes design, production and QA.

He earns a bachelor's degree in electrical and electronic engineering from Imperial College, London, and a master in electrical, computing and system engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. He also serves as Director of Quantum Scientia Ltd and Director of Lionrock Batteries Ltd.
